All I could think of is how passive the main character Cath was and how apathetic I felt watching her journey. I think I had different expectations for the story and was disappointed when they didn’t meet them.
Chainsaw Man separates itself from grim manga like Gantz or Berserk with its unique balance of gore and humor. It’s like the manga version of Army of Darkness, treating its monsters with the fear and awe they deserve yet showing just how foolish and funny the protagonists can be.With its unique blend of high-octane action, hilarity and genuine heart, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during the spooky season with Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man is a comedic - horror - macabre that is worthy of its October debut. With its release date slated for October 6th, 2020, it’s no wonder this manga has surpassed 3 million readers in Japan. It has the right amount of hack and slash, with the chainsaw being one of horror’s ideal weapons of death and destruction. I’m pumped and as I continue to read this manga, I hope Denji gets a girlfriend and hopefully touch some boobs before this series concludes.
I was first introduced to Spy X Family last year, when I spied some funny collections of fan translated pages of the manga on Tumblr. I was delighted with what I read, but I prefer to read from official sources. Thus I was thrilled and delighted to hear that one of our friends at VIZ Media was even kind enough to provide us with an early digital copy of the volume so I could give it a look and after reading it, I can safely say that this story isn’t as simple as Tumblr made it out to be…
